No. 8 Heavyweight Rowing Hosts No. 4 Harvard For The Compton Cup

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 8 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team hosted No. 4 Harvard at Lake Carnegie Saturday morning as the two programs raced for the Compton Cup.
"Harvard looked strong on every level today and they gave our team the test we needed as we step deeper into the season," said Head Coach Greg Hughes. "We now know what we need to work on as we step into the week ahead and to the Carnegie Cup this coming Saturday."
After two straight seasons of Tiger victories, it was the Crimson who won the Compton Cup in 2025. The Tigers' total Compton Cup victories remain at 18.
The 1V (5:28.0) finished just behind Harvard (5:31.0) in a hard-fought battle for the Compton Cup, while the 2V (5:36.4) also narrowly trailed the Crimson (5:32.4). Princeton's 3V (5:40.8) came close but ultimately fell to Harvard (5:36.0), and Harvard's 4V (5:43.9) finished in front of the Tigers' 5V (5:52.7) and 4V (5:54.7)
