
Women's Lightweight Rowing Overcomes Georgetown To Win 20th Class of 2006 Cup

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team overcame Georgetown to win its 20th Class of 2006 Cup against Georgetown at Lake Carnegie Saturday morning.
"Conditions were great and it's always a good day when the eight sets a new course record, but our boats can all go faster and we are eager to pick up more speed," said Head Coach Paul Rassam. "We had one senior in each boat today and we are so happy that they could finish up their home racing careers with a win. We are so proud of all whole senior class."
Princeton moved to 20-1 in the all-time series against the Hoyas.
Along with finishing ahead of Georgetown (6:39.3) and winning the Class of 2006 Cup, the 8+ (6:20.5) also set a new course record.
The 4+ (7:29.5) finished well ahead of the Hoyas (7:55.7), while the 2x (7:59.3) also earned the win over Georgetown (8:10.3).
