Women's Track and Field Performs at Penn Relays, Lions Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – Staying close to home, the Princeton women's track and field team split for the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Lions Invite this weekend, with several Tigers setting PRs and several winning their events.
Penn Relays
Shea Greene took second in the javelin, throwing 53.05/174-0".
With the Tiger jumpers having a day, Alexandra Kelly took third in the long jump, clearing 6.11m/20-0.5". Georgina Scoot also took fourth in the triple jump, recording a mark of 12.36m/40-6.75".
A pair of Tiger relays took fourth place with a DMR squad of Olivia Martin, Paola Rodriguez, Peyton Leigh and Maddie Cramer clocking in at 11:29.04 and a 4x800 team of Stella Vieth, Hannah Riggins, Cramer and Mena Scatchard taking fourth with a time of 8:34.27.
The 4x800 squad now holds third all-time in Princeton's history.
Hannah Riggins took seventh place in the 1500m, running 4:14.67 for a new PR and fifth place all-time in the Princeton record book.
Adelaide Asante took ninth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.78 for a new personal best.
In the 3000 steeplechase, Lexi Allen took seventh with a time of 10:07.71, also setting a new PR.
Meg Madison took 20th in the 5000, running 16:28.28.

Lions Invite
The Tigers won four individual events as they had a strong performance at the TCNJ Lions Invite.
Maisha Atkinson set a new personal record in the 400, running 54.14 which puts her third in the Princeton record book. Lauren Harris was just behind her with a 56.75 season best for fourth.
In the 100, Giselle Kirchner claimed first with a time of 14.36. Just behind her were Mirtel Klaar in second (14.38) and Shea Burke in fourth (15.00).
Sophie Steidle won the 1500 with a personal best time of 4:52.80. Mari Noble took third in the 1500 invite with a time of 4:37.31.
Shantell Kwofie set a new PR in the 400 hurdles, running 1:02.32 for second.
In the field events, Mirtel Klaar won the long jump clearing 5.83m/19-01.5".
Nicole Rodriguez had a strong performance in the javelin, setting a new PR of 39.70/130-03" for second place.
Jana Ter Wee took third in the shot put, throwing 13.38m/43-10.75".
A Tiger squad took first in the 4x400, running 3:55.94.

With Heps approaching in two weeks, the Tigers will first return home to Weaver Stadium next weekend as they host the Larry Ellis Invitational on May 2nd and 3rd.
