Jackson Hicke & Team USA Win Silver In 3x3 At World University Games

BOCHUM, Germany – Rising junior Jackson Hicke of the Princeton University men's basketball team and Team USA won silver in 3x3 at the World University Games Sunday at the Jahrhunderthalle after advancing to the gold medal game and facing Lithuania.
Team USA won Group A, first earning victories over Chile (21-9) and Italy (19-12) on July 17. On July 19 in the quarterfinals, it overcame Poland (21-14) and advanced to the semifinals, where it took down the Czech Republic (19-17) on July 20. Team USA fell to Lithuania in the gold medal game (21-16), earning silver.
Hicke contributed four points and three rebounds against Chile then against Italy he recorded two points, two rebounds and one highlight (a combination of key assists, drives, dunks, blocks and buzzer beaters) while leading the team in +/- (7). Against Poland, Hicke again led the team in +/- (8) and tallied seven points, three highlights and one rebound then had five points and one rebound against the Czech Republic. Hicke grabbed four rebounds and scored one point in the gold medal game.
