Men's Track and Field Wins Nine Events in 89-89 Draw with Navy

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Princeton men's track and field team won nine events as it drew Navy, 89-89, in a dual meet on Saturday in Annapolis.
The Tiger performances were highlighted by a 1-2-3-4 sweep in the 60m dash and a 1-2-3 sweep in the 500m.
In the 60m, Greg Foster claimed first place, running a time of 6.77 - just one tenth of a second off from the Princeton record. Jackson Clarke, Charles Sexton, and Jadon Spain rounded out the top four, clocking in at 6.79, 6.82 and 6.84.
In the 500m, it was Karl Dietz across the line first with a mark of 1:04.51. Isa Hitchens was next, taking second at 1:04.53 while Kobeyeh Riley took the third podium spot with a time of 1:05.99.
Dietz made his second win of the day in the 4x400, as he, Joey Gant, Xavier Donaldson, and Jonathan York raced to victory with a time of 3:14.80.
York also took two wins on the day, also winning the 400m with a time of 47.39.
Dominating the sprints, the Tigers won the 200m, with Jackson Clarke taking first (20.97) and Gant taking second (21.21).
Easton Tan won the 60m hurdles, logging 8.04.
Closing out the running wins, Brian Boler took first in the mile, clocking in at 4:06.35.
In the field events, Asher Robbins won the weight throw, throwing 20.87m / 68-5 ¾".
Joe Licata also won the shot put, throwing 19.27m / 63-2 ¾", which tops the Navy records.

The Tigers will look ahead to next Saturday, Jan. 17 as they head to Penn for the Quaker Invitational.
