PRINCETON, N.J. – Looking to add to its string of early season top performances, the Princeton men's track and field team will compete at the Penn Elite on Saturday, Jan. 24, with some of the squad splitting for the Dr. Sander Invitational on Friday (Jan. 23) and Saturday.
With the Tiger throws squad heading to the Armory, the rest of the team will head back to Philadelphia for another meet against some of the nation's top competition.
Last weekend, the Tigers visited the Ott Center for the Quaker Invitational. Greg Foster headlined the day by breaking a 36-year-old Ivy League record in the long jump.
His mark of 8.07m / 26-5.75" ranks second in the NCAA. For his performance, Foster was named Ivy League Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Three other Tigers also set meet records, with Jackson Clarke and Jadon Spain running 6.70 and 6.75 in the 60m prelims. In the shot put, Joe Licata set a new meet record as he threw 19.06m / 62-06.50".
The Tigers enter the 2025-26 indoor track season chasing a third-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown. This Fall, the Tigers continued their streak of success as they won the 2025 cross country championship.
Last year, Princeton completed its 12th all-time and second-consecutive Triple Crown by winning the 2025 Outdoor Heps Championship.
In the indoor season, Princeton dominated, claiming the Ivy title by a margin of 85 points. Across the meet, the Tigers had seven individual Ivy Champions and two relay wins.
Of last year's indoor individual champions, four will return in Joe Licata (SP), Greg Foster (LJ), Jackson Clarke (200m) and Joey Gant (400m).
The entire 4x400 champion squad of Kavon Miller, Jonathan York, Karl Dietz, and Xavier Donaldson also returns, alongside Collin Boler of the 4x800 championship team.
The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. Since being named the head coach, Vigilante has led the Tigers to two Triple Crowns. He was named the 2025 Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.
