January 24, 2026 | Women's Squash
Princeton junior and defending champion Zeina Zein and Tiger rookie Alex Jaffe have each advanced to Sunday's quarterfinal round at the CSA Individual Championship held at OpenSquash FiDi in New York.
Zein, the top seed, was a winner in three games over Penn's Malak Taha, seeded 17-20, while Jaffe, seeded 9-12, knocked off the fifth seed in Virginia's Charlotte Pastel, holding off a Pastel comeback after holding a 2-0 lead in games to win in four.
Zein and Jaffe are in the same half of the bracket, putting each one win away from an all-Tiger semifinal. In their way are Penn's eighth-seeded Franka Vidovic, who will take on Zein at 11:30 a.m., and Harvard's fourth-seeded Lucie Stefanoni, who will meet Jaffe at 12:20 p.m.
Three Tigers continued play Saturday in consolation rounds. Charlotte Bell, Emma Trauber and Caroline Eielson all won their consolation quarterfinal matches to set up consolation semis later Saturday. Bell and Trauber will go head-to-head at 6 p.m. with Eielson meeting Trinity's Doyce Ye San Lee at 7 p.m.
