ITHACA, N.Y. – The Princeton University men's basketball team fell to Cornell inside Newman Arena Friday night, 87-64.

Junior Jackson Hicke led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points and rebounding with six, while also adding two assists and two steals. Freshman Jacob Hammond recorded a career-high eight points on 4-for-7 shooting.

The game began as a back-and-forth battle, but with the Big Red up, 17-15, with 11:25 on the clock, an 8-0 Cornell run saw the Big Red jump ahead, 25-15, with 9:01 remaining in the half.

While a layup by freshman Landon Clark followed by a Hicke three-pointer made it a 26-22 contest at 7:10, Cornell soon used an 13-0 run to surge ahead, 45-26, with 2:07 left in the half. Hicke connected on a pair of three-pointers late in the half and the Big Red took a 48-32 advantage into halftime.

Cornell came out of halftime and extended its lead to 57-36 with 16:08 remaining, then went on to earn the 87-64 victory.
