Princeton Sweeps Cornell to Open Ivy Weekend

With five three-game wins, the No. 4-ranked Princeton women's hockey team swept No. 7 Cornell 9-0 on Friday afternoon in Ithaca to open an Ivy League weekend.
Alex Jaffe, Caroline Eielson, Sam Jaffe, Hermione Cao and Sonya Sasson each won in a sweep, while Zeina Zein, Emma Trauber and Charlotte Bell each won in four games. Zein and Bell took a 2-0 lead in games before winning in four, while Trauber broke away from a 1-1 tie in games. Liyen Teoh won a five-game match at seventh position, turning back a Maya Voloshin comeback bid after taking a 2-0 lead in games.
Now a winner of six in a row with a 2-0 Ivy record, the Tigers will have their Ivy home opener on Sunday, hosting No. 13 Columbia at 1 p.m.
