York Sets New 400m Record at Philadelphia Metro Meet

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – Jonathan York set a new program record in the 400m as the Tigers closed out the regular season at the Philadelphia Metro Meet on Friday at the Ott Center.
York ran a blazing 46.27 to set a new school record and a new NCAA #38. His time bested the previous 15-year-old record of 46.47, set in 2011 by Austin Hollimon. He was also under the previous meet record as he took second place.
With solid performances across the board, the Tigers won seven events.
Jackson Clarke and Joey Gant went one and two in the 200m, running 20.71 and 21.15 respectively.
Easton Tan and Yuki Hojo also went one and two in the 60mH, clocking in at 8.00 and 8.07.
Richard Lawson picked up an event win and a new PR in the long jump, clearing 7.02m / 23-00.50. Jacob Emerson also won the pole vault with a mark of 5.04m / 16-06.50.
Brian Boler won the mile with a time of 4:04.10. Greg Foster also won the 60m, running 6.77.

The Tigers will compete for an 11th-straight indoor Ivy League indoor championship at the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships next Saturday and Sunday at the Armory in New York City.
