PRINCETON, N.J. – Defending Ivy League Indoor Champions, the Princeton women's track and field team will head to New York City this weekend to compete for another title at the 2026 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships.
The action will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in The Armory, before day two kicks off at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The Tigers, the defending Ivy League Triple Crown Champions, look to continue a streak of success this year after winning the 2025 cross country championship to kick off this academic year. Last May, the Tigers completed their third Triple Crown and first since 2011 as they won the Ivy League Outdoor Heps Championship.
In the 2025 indoor season, the Tigers cruised to victory, making history as they scored in every event. Princeton claimed seven individual champions and a 4x800 relay win.
Champions returning to the track this indoor season include Julia Jongejeugd (pentathlon), Angela McAuslan-Kelly (WT), Georgina Scoot (TJ), Alexandra Kelly (LJ), and Hannah Riggins (1000m).
Stella Vieth and Maddie Cramer, two members of the 4x800 squad, also return this year.
Princeton has been dominant this indoor season, setting seven program records and making 26 additions to the all-time top-10 leaderboard.
Maisha Atkinson has had herself a winter, setting three program records in the 200m, 300m and 400m dashes. She also ran the anchor leg of the record-setting 4x400 relay at BU Valentine.
Scoot and Kelly have dominated in the horizontal jumps, with Scoot setting an Ivy record in the triple jump (13.47m) and Kelly setting a program record in the long jump (6.50m). With both Tigers jumping over 6.00m in the long jump and 13.00m in the triple jump consistently, Princeton ranks eighth in the country in the long jump.
The Tigers also rank 11th nationally in both the 800m, with Olivia Martin leading the way with a time of 2:05.76, and the shot put, with Layla Giordano's 15.54m a team-high.
The Tigers are led by Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich, in her 10th season at the helm. Eisenreich earned two Ivy League Coach of the Year awards last year in the indoor and outdoor track seasons. The Triple Crown was the program's first under her leadership.
