Corniea Named Semifinalist for WHCA Goalie of the Year Award
February 06, 2026 | Women's Ice Hockey
Just a few weeks after being named to the 31-player watch list, Princeton junior Uma Corniea has advanced to the semifinal stage of the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association's Goalie of the Year Award process.Â
Twelve netminders are on the semifinalist list, and three finalists will be announced during the conference championships before a winner is announced at the NCAA Championships.
Corniea ranks eighth in the nation in shutouts (four), 10th in winning percentage (.667), 12th in GAA (1.782), and 13th in save percentage (.937).
Corniea has helped Princeton to the top of the ECAC Hockey standings with two weekends left in the regular season. The Tigers will head to Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend looking to solidify their title pursuit in both ECAC Hockey and the Ivy League.Â
