March 13, 2026 | Women's Track and Field
FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Alexandra Kelly earned First Team All-America honors with a third-place finish in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday.
Peaking at the end of an indoor season that saw her consistently progress, Kelly set a new personal best of 6.54m / 21-5½ to finish on the podium at nationals.
The mark also bested her own program record of 6.50m, which was set earlier this season at the Quaker Invite.
Jumping over 6m on all valid attempts, Kelly went from seventh at 6.33m all the way up to third with 6.54m on her fourth jump.
The performance was good enough to earn Kelly First Team All-America distinction, the first of her career.
Capping off an outstanding senior season that saw her set two school records and personal bests, jump over 6.23m at each competition, and win a third Ivy League Championship title in the long jump, Kelly ended her indoor campaign with a culminating highlight as she claimed bronze among the nation's best.
Tomorrow, teammate and fellow senior jumper Georgina Scoot will chase All-America honors herself as she competes in the triple jump on day two of the NCAA Indoor Championships. The triple jump is scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. CT.
