Foster, Abdullah Earn USTFCCCA Regional Awards

PRINCETON, N.J. – Greg Foster and Robert Abullah were honored in the USTFCCCA's regional awards, the organization announced Thursday.
Foster was named Mid-Atlantic Field Athlete of the Year, and Abdullah was named Mid-Atlantic Assistant Coach of the Year.
The honors come after a season of historic success for Foster, Abdullah and the Tigers.
At the Ivy League Championships on March 1st, Foster won two titles in the long jump and the 60m hurdles, setting new Ivy League records in both.
His jump of 8.27m ranked second in the NCAA and seventh in the world at the time of the performance.
Foster's 20 points helped lead Princeton to an 11th-consecutive Ivy League Indoor Championship title.
At NCAAs, Foster went on to earn First Team All-America honors as he took fourth place in the long jump.
Abdullah, specializing in jumps and sprints, mentored Foster throughout his exceptional senior season.
Abdullah's athletes won three individual events at the Ivy League Indoor Championships, with Foster and Jonathan York winning the 500m, and he had eight other athletes in the top-6 in six other events, topped by a runner-up finish in the 4×400 relay.
His athletes scored eight points at the NCAA DI Indoor Championships – fourth in the long jump and sixth in the 4×400.
With an outstanding indoor season behind them, the Tigers will now look ahead to the outdoor season, which they will begin tomorrow at the Penn Challenge in Philadelphia.
