Tigers Fall Short Against Cornell To Finish Series, 6-3

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Tigers start 2-1 in Ivy League play, as they fall short 6-3 in the final game of the series against Cornell.
Will Robbins opened up the scoring for the Tigers in the first with a two run double, taking a 2-1 lead after Cornell opened up scoring at the top of the inning.
Cornell tied things up in the third making it a 2-2 score.
Princeton answered back in the fourth inning, taking a 3-2 lead after Jake Kernodle hit a home run, his second of the season.
Cornell took a late 6-3 lead and ultimately a win after putting up four runs between the eighth and ninth innings.
With Liam Kinneen working the mound for six innings, followed by Ryan Penney and Charlie Wolf to close, the pitching trio combined for nine strikeouts in the loss.
The Tigers will take on Seton Hall on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 4 PM.
