PRINCETON, N.J. – Hosting its final regular season meet before Ivy Heps, the Princeton men's track and field team will host the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Weaver Stadium.
The Tigers are looking to put a cap on an already-dominant outdoor regular season that has seen the Tigers set two Ivy records and three program records.Â
Â
Last weekend, the Tigers split for the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Rick McCorkle Invite. Greg Foster broke his own Ivy League record in the long jump, clearing 8.01m. For his efforts, he was named Ivy Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.Â
Â
The Tigers were ranked 18th in the latest USTFCCCA poll, also ranking in the top-20 in seven events. The Tiger steeplechase squad is ranked second in the country, led by Brian Boler and Jackson Shorten, while the shot put squad headed by Joe Licata ranks fifth.
Â
The Tigers are 11th in the 110mh and the 5000m, 13th in the 100m, 15th in the discus and 16th in the 400m, representing a squad that is deep and well-balanced as they look to the postseason.Â
Â
The Tigers enter the 2026 outdoor track season chasing a third-consecutive Ivy League Triple Crown.Â
Â
Last year, Princeton completed its 12th all-time and second-consecutive Triple Crown by winning the 2025 Outdoor Heps Championship.Â
Â
This Fall, the Tigers continued their streak of success as they won the 2025 cross country championship. Now with the indoor title claimed, they are an outdoor Ivy League championship away from completing the feat.
Â
The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. Since being named the head coach, Vigilante has led the Tigers to two Triple Crowns. He was named the 2025 Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.Â
