Kendrick Saunders was named the director of basketball operations for the men's basketball team in July 2010 after spending five years as an assistant coach at Army.
"I admire Kendrick's work ethic, professionalism and integrity," Princeton men's basketball head coach Sydney Johnson said. "Additionally, Kendrick's past experience as an assistant coach at the collegiate level will serve our program well."
Saunders is a 1998 alumnus of Palm Beach Atlantic College, where he played point guard and earned a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in physical education. Between his collegiate playing days and arriving a West Point in 2005, Saunders was an assistant coach at Great Mills High, his alma mater in Maryland, before spending four years as the lead men's assistant coach at Hunter College in New York and two years as a men's assistant at Frostburg State in Maryland.
Outside of collegiate athletics, Saunders was an assistant coach for the Gotham City Knights of the National Rookie League in its inaugural season of 2000 and has also worked at several Five-Star basketball camps.
Saunders and his wife Janice have two sons, Alexavier and Hezekiah.
