After graduating from Michigan State in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training, Schneider began working on her master's degree in human physiology and sports medicine at the University of Oregon. She completed that degree in 2007.
While at Oregon, Schneider worked as the head athletic trainer at Thurston High School in Springfield, Ore., in 2005-06 before joining the Oregon athletic training staff as a graduate assistant for football in 2006-07.
Since Oregon, Schneider worked at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colo., in 2007-08 before returning to her undergraduate alma mater, Michigan State, for two seasons as an intern athletic trainer with the Spartans' rowing teams. Schneider worked at Maine with the softball and football teams from 2009-11 before coming to Princeton.
At Oregon, Michigan State and Maine, Schneider taught classes in her field, and she holds certifications in CPR and First Aid as well as the SASTM soft tissue technique. A certified athletic trainer since 2006, she has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2001.
