Lauren Brunner received the team's Tiger Award as a senior tri-captain. She played in all 29 goals and ranked fourth on the team with 31 goals scored. She also added 23 assists and 23 steals, setting a career-high for assists. Brunner finished her career with 135 goals to rank seven all-time at Princeton in scoring. Brunner had four three-goal games as a senior, recording hat tricks in a win over UC San Diego, loss to Michigan, loss to Maryland and win over Harvard. The latter two both came during the Eastern Championships as she scored seven goals over three games. She finished the season with 12 goals over the season's final six games. Brunner added a career-best 23 assists and had a high of four in a win over Brown. She added three assists in a win over Wagner. Brunner's high mark for steals was three, in a win over Bucknell, and for ejections drawn was also three, in a win over Colorado State.
Brunner earned her third All-Southern honor as a junior, being named to the second team for the second season in a row. Brunner ranked third on the team with a career-high 38 goals to boost her career total to 104. Brunner opened the season with a five-goal game in a win over Gannon and recorded multiple goals in 13 contests. She scored three in wins over Maryland (twice) and Bucknell in the Eastern first round. Brunner had two goals and two assists in wins over Colorado State and Concordia and finished the season with 13 goals in the final eight games. She scored four goals and added two assists, three steals and drew seven ejections at Easterns and was named to the tournament's second all-star team.
Brunner received a second-team All-Southern nod following her sophomore campaign at Princeton. A s a sophomore, she scored 37 goals to rank tied for second on the team in scoring. Additionally, she contributed 14 assists and 19 steals while drawing 30 ejections. Brunner started the season with six-straight multiple-goal games and had 15 goals scored in the span, which included a trio of three-goal games in wins over Mercyhurst and Harvard and a loss to Maryland. Brunner finished the season with 13 multiple-goal games. She had a pair of goals and assists in a win over Whittier and added two goals, an assist and two steals in the Southern Championship game against Maryland. Brunner was a member of the CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team.
Brunner scored 29 goals as a freshman on her way to first-team All-Southern and Southern Rookie of the Year honors. Brunner, who ranked fourth on the team in scoring, posted goals in 18 games, including three-straight two-goal games in late February and a pair of three-goal performances in wins over Colorado State and Pomona-Pitzer. She also added 13 assists and 27 steals.
Brunner spent four seasons as a varsity player at St. Francis High School. As senior captain, she helped lead her team to its second consecutive section championship, the first two in school history. She was named first-team all-section and first-team all-league three years in a row, and was honored as the St. Francis Varsity Player of the Year in 2006. Brunner has been a seven-year member of the American River Water Polo Club.
