Kroshus Paces Tigers at Cross Country's 2002 NCAA Pre-Nationals

Terre Haute, Ind. - Emily Kroshus was the top Princeton finisher, crossing the 6k finish line in 28th place with a time of 21:16 as Princeton took 17th place at the 2002 NCAA Pre-Nationals. The Tigers finished one place behind Ivy rival Yale. More than 250 athletes from 38 schools around the country competed at today's meet.
Laura Petrillo gave the Tigers a strong performance, crossing the line in 68th place with a time of 21:46. Becca Snyder took 101st place with a time of 22:08 and Meredith Lambert finished in 115th place with a time of 22:14. Also scoring for the Tigers was Sarah Rivlin who finished in 22:31, good for 149th place. Krystal Adler and Pilar Marin finished in 173 and 174 place.
Shalane Flanagan (19:56.5) from North Carolina was the top individual finisher and was the only athlete to break the 20-minute mark. Kate O'Neill from Yale took second place. Bringham Young took the meet tile with 55 points Colorado finished in second and Georgetown finished in third.
