Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton women's squash team had little trouble knocking off Cornell in its Ivy League opener Sunday. The Tigers swept the Big Red 9-0, winning each individual match 3-0. Of the 27 total games played, 10 were won 9-0 by the Tigers, and nine others were either 9-1 or 9-2.
It was the Ivy League debut of Princeton freshman Ruchika Kumar, who won 9-2, 9-0, 9-0 at No. 1 over Cory Warfield. Annie Rein-Weston and Patricia Gadsden, who had played 1-2 most of last season, had little trouble moving down a spot, as both swept their Cornell opponents.
