Women's Cross Country Earns Fourth Win of Fall

Easton, Pa. - The Princeton women's cross country team was the class of the field earlier today at the Leopard Invitational at Lafayette. The Tigers placed all seven point scoring runners in the top 13 finishing positions to easily top Columbia, Rutgers and nine other opponents. Princeton's Pilar Marin won the event in a time of 20:49.00, two seconds faster than second-place finisher Beth Vesey of the College of New Jersey.
Christina Roberto was the next Tiger and she finished fifth in a time of 20:57.96, Catha Mullen came home seventh in 21:05.23 and Claire Filoux was the third Tiger in the Top 10 in eighth in a time of 21:11.51. Caroline Mullen finished 11th in 21:18.83, Kate Reid was 12th in 21:25.96 and Suzanne Andrews was the last Tiger to earn points in 13th in 21:32.38.
The Tigers won their fourth event of the fall despite the absence of their top six runners, who will compete later today at the Pre Nationals Invitational in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
