NEW YORK CITY - The Princeton women's volleyball team improved to 14-5 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League with a 3-0 win over Columbia Saturday afternoon. Lauren Grumet led Princeton with 18 kills.
Princeton won 30-22, 30-26, 30-22 to stay in good position in the Ivy League race. The Tigers, who fell 3-1 at Cornell Friday night, are one loss behind Harvard and even with the Big Red.
Jenny Senske had 40 assists for Princeton, while Jenny McReynolds led the defense with 17 digs. Ashley Weber continues to have a strong senior season, killing eight balls with no errors for a .471 attack percentage.
The win is No. 498 for head coach Glenn Nelson, who can become the third Princeton coach with 500 wins next weekend.
