Volleyball Sweeps Defending Champ Cornell To Run Streak To Ten

During the final weekend of the 2006 Ivy League season, Princeton faced Cornell with a chance to clinch the Ivy League title. The Big Red defended its home court with a 3-0 win. The title wasn't on the line Saturday, but the Tigers still returned the favor with a 3-0 win of their own.
Princeton improved to 11-3, 3-0 in the Ivy League, with 30-20, 30-25, 30-23 win over the Big Red. The Tigers stayed a half game behind Dartmouth, which moved to 4-0 in the league with a 3-0 win over Brown.
The Tigers hit .325 for the match and had two players record double-digit kills and hitting percentages of at least .400. Junior middle Lindsey Ensign, the current Ivy League Player of the Week, had 16 kills and hit .458, while sophomore Sheena Donohue added 13 kills and seven digs while hitting .400. Junior outside Parker Henritze recorded 13 kills and eight digs, while classmate Bailey Robinson had a match-high 47 assists. Senior libero Jenny McReynolds led all players with 18 digs.
Princeton will remain home next weekend, when it hosts Yale Friday at 7 p.m. and Brown at 4 p.m.
