Colgan Named Honorable Mention All-America; Six Earn All-Academic Honors

Senior Elyse Colgan was named an honorable mention All-America by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches over the weekend, the third such honor of her collegiate career. The ACWPC also announced its all-academic team, which included six members of the Princeton women's water polo team.
Colgan completed her collegiate career this spring by leading the team in scoring for the fourth time in four seasons. Her 73 goals lifted her to second all-time at Princeton with 272. Colgan won her fourth-consecutive Southern Most Valuable Player Award and was both an All-Southern and All-Eastern selection for the fourth time in her career.
She joins Cassie Nichols and Adele McCarthy-Beauvais as three-time All-Americas at Princeton. McCarthy-Beauvais received All-America honors in all four years.
In addition, Colgan was also named to the ACWPC's All-Academic team along with five of her teammates. Seniors Jazmin Brown, Shannon Devore and J.J. Ryu, also received the honor. It was the fourth time for Devore and Ryu to be named to the team. Joining the four seniors were sophomore Claire Jacobson and freshman Clare Premo.
