Hurricane Ike Forces Women's Soccer to Cancel Texas Trip
September 10, 2008 | Women's Soccer
PRINCETON - Hurricane Ike has forced the Princeton women's soccer team to cancel its scheduled trip to Texas.
The Tigers were due to face Texas A&M Friday night and Rice Sunday afternoon, marking what would have been the program's second trip to the Lone Star State.
Plans to replace the two matches lost to Ike at some point in the season are in the works.
Ike is due to make landfall somewhere along the Texas coast Saturday and would have caused potential problems with Princeton's game against Rice and its return trip home.
Princeton (1-1) will return to action Friday, Sept. 19 at Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium against Towson and Sunday, Sept. 21 at St. John's.
