NEW YORK (9/12/09) - The Princeton women's cross county team earned a second-place finish at the Fordham Fiasco, the first meet of the 2009 season, on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Van Cortlandt Park.
The Tigers used the race as preparation for the future, as four freshman and one veteran ran the course to get a feel for the site that is home to the Ivy League Heptagonal.
Mel Newbery made her collegiate debut finishing in second place with a time of 18:16.19. Alexis Mikaelian clocked in at 18:35.33 for sixth place.
