Open Women Improve To 4-0 With Home Saturday Sweep

The sixth-ranked Princeton open women swept a Saturday regatta against both Columbia and Rutgers Saturday morning during ideal racing conditions on Lake Carnegie.
The varsity eight, coming off a sweep of No. 5 Brown and No. 10 Ohio State in the season opener last weekend, won all four races to conclude a full Saturday regatta at Princeton. The varsity eight improved to 4-0 on the season by winning its race in 6:17.0, more than 25 seconds faster than Ivy rival Columbia. The Lions finished second in 6:42.8, while Rutgers finished third in 6:54.4
The Tiger 2V also posted a comfortable win over Columbia. Princeton posted a winning time of 6:26.0, while Columbia took second in 6:26.0. The varsity fours won in 6:25.3, topping the Lion 'A' 4 in 6:36.7.
Rounding out the regatta was the 3V, and Princeton pulled out a win in 7:06.8.
The Tigers will make their only regular season road trip next weekend when it heads to Cayuga Inlet to take on Cornell and Harvard in The Class of 1975 Cup regatta.
