Class of '74 Claims FOPB Winners Cup

The Princeton men's basketball Class of 1974 has claimed the Friends of Princeton Basketball's Winners Cup in recognition of the fundraising commitments the class has made.
To take the Winners Cup, a new award instituted by the Friends under group president Jim Lane '92 to commend alumni contributions through the next quarter-century, the Class of '74 committed to donate a set amount for five consecutive fiscal years from 2010-11 through 2014-15. The funds will go toward continuing the mission of both the Princeton men's and women's basketball programs.
The Princeton men's basketball Class of 1974 includes John R. Berger, Alfred G. Burton, Robert R. Deist, Andrew G. Rimol, Richard M. Seitz, Joseph G. Vavricka, Calvin R. Warshavsky and Stu Francis. The class dedicated the Winners Cup honor to Burton, who passed away in 2009.
