Five Princeton Sprint Football Facts
|
• Sprint football was established in 1931. Princeton's first game was on Oct. 30, 1931 at Yale.
• Princeton won consecutive league championships from 1937-42. Since then, the Tigers have won three titles (1954, 1975 and 1989).
• The Tigers have put together three undefeated seasons over program history (1938, 1941 and 1954) with perfect 6-0 records.
• In 1942 Princeton shutout all opponents en route to winning the league championship. The Tigers held opponents to only seven points in 1938 and 20 in 1938.
• Sprint football plays all home games at Princeton Stadium.
