| Five Princeton Women's Hockey Facts |
• Princeton has had 12 players play on national teams. Nikola Holmes '03 (Germany) and Andrea Kilbourne '03 (USA) both played in Olympics Games. Six have played in the IIHF Women's World Championship, including Gretchen Anderson '04 (USA), Annamarie Holmes '03 (USA), Kathy Issel '95 (USA), Liz Keady '08 (USA), Megan Van Beusekom '04 (USA) and Kilbourne.
• Princeton leads the all-time series with seven of the eight ECAC league teams. The Tigers are 38-29-2 against Brown, 14-8-1 against Clarkson, 21-7-3 vs. Colgate, 40-29-3 vs. Cornell, 37-31-5 against Dartmouth, 10-7-2 vs. Quinnipiac, 8-5-3 against RPI, 27-21-3 vs. St. Lawrence, 19-0-1 vs. Union and 56-12-2 vs. Yale). The only league team with an advantage is Harvard at 43-29-4.
• The award for the nation's best women's hockey player is called the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. Kazmaier is a 1986 graduate of Princeton, playing during the 1981-82, 82-83, 83-84 and 85-86. She helped Princeton to three consecutive Ivy League titles as a defender. She was named honorable mention All-Ivy as a freshman and second-team All-Ivy in both her sophomore and junior years. As a senior she was named the Ivy League MVP and first-team All-Ivy and All-ECAC. Kazmaier died in 1990, at age 28, after a long struggle with a rare blood disease.
• Princeton has been ranked in both the USA Hockey and USCHO poll. The Tigers highest ranking was No. 5 during the 1998-99 season. Princeton was also ranked No. 5 in the USCHO poll in 2005-06 when the team made its first NCAA appearance.
• Princeton has made the post season in all but four years since the program began in 1979-80, a total of 29 years. The Tigers had a streak of 11 straight ECAC tournament appearances from 2001-02 to 2011-12.
