SOUTH BEND, Ind. (10/3/14) - The Princeton women's cross country team, back by sophomore Megan Curham, posted a seventh place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3.
Curham was seventh out of 165 runners in the 5k Blue Race with a time of 16:21.1. Sophomore Kathryn Fluehr had a big finish at 16:35.1 to take 12th overall. Freshman Natalie Rathjen was the third Tiger across the line, crossing at 17:00.5 for 38th place overall. Senior Lindsay Eysenbach and freshman Gabi Forrest, the final two scorers, came across the line together at 17:23.8 and 17:24.3. Juniors Erika Fluehr and Maria Seykora each ran 17:28 and sophomore Ally Markovich posted a 17:43.
New Mexico (12) won the meet with 49 points, 74 points ahead of second-place NC State's 123. The host school was third, followed by BYU fourth, Penn State (30) fifth, Ohio State sixth.
Princeton is receiving votes in the national poll, and will send another group of runners to Lehigh for the Paul Short Invitational tomorrow.
