Princeton's Copeland Named to Longstreth/NFHCA All-America Third Team

PRINCETON, N.J. – Maddie Copeland of the Princeton University field hockey team added to her growing list of postseason accolades with a selection to the 2015 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-America third team.
The Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year and a unanimous first team all-conference honoree, Copeland also recently earned a spot on the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic first team.
Finishing the year ranked sixth in the nation in goals per game (0.89) and 15th in points per contest (1.89), Copeland racked up a career high 34 points on 16 goals and two assists. Her 16 goals were the second-most in the Ivy this season, while her 34 points ranked third.
Factoring into the scoring in 10 of her outings, Copeland had five multi-goal efforts and netted a pair of hat-tricks against American (9/20) and Dartmouth (9/27). A three-time Ivy Player of the Week in 2015, Copeland also turned in three two-goal games against Yale (10/3), Harvard (10/24), and Cornell (10/31).
Behind her breakout senior season, Copeland wrapped up her decorated four-year career with 71 points on 34 goals and three assists.
