Two Individuals and Men's XC Team Awarded National Academic Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/11/15) - Sophomore William Bertrand and senior Matt McDonald both captured US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-Academic honors for the 2014 cross country season it was announced by the organization today.
McDonald was the third Tiger across the line at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, finishing 18th overall at 30:39 on the course in Happy Valley. Bertrand was just six places back, in 24th as the fourth scorer. Both were named all-regional as Princeton finished fourth.
To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average and earn All-America status or finish in the 25 at the regional meet.
The Princeton men's team also earned all-academic team honors, for its cumuatlive GPA of 3.17.
