Princeton Looks For Ivy Heps Title on Home Course

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/27/16) - With the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship returning to Princeton, the Tigers look to reclaim the title on their home soil. The men's 8k race is schedule for noon on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Princeton has won the Ivy Heps title more than any other team in the league, 18 times. Taking a look back at the last decade, the Orange & Black have won the title seven of the 10 years. The other three wins were by Columbia, including last year in 2015.
The Tigers return four of its seven from last year's Heps. Sophomores Jeremy Spiezio and Steven Sum were all-region honorees a year ago, while junior Noah Kauppila gained experienced with successful indoor and outdoor track seasons. Junior Charlie Stahl was in the top seven a year ago as well and has been a scorer this season. The Princeton freshmen have been a high point for the team this year. Conor Lundy led the way with a 19th-place finish at Wisconsin's Nuttycombe while Gannon Wilcutts, Perrin Hagge and Viraj Deokar have also been scorers. Other veterans looking to leave their mark include senior captain William Bertrand, and a trio of juniors William Paulson, Wolfgang Beck and Garrett O'Toole.
