Men's Track & Field Wins Three Events in Fourth-Place Finish at Villanova

The Princeton men's track & field team placed fourth at the Villanova Invitational at Ocean Breeze Park in Staten Island this afternoon. The Tigers earned 65.5 points in the nine-team invitational.
For the second time this season, freshman Charles Volker has run a school record of 6.79 in the 60-meter dash. Volker, who set the mark at the New Year's Invitational at Jadwin Gym in December, won the event today at 6.79 after a 6.89 in the prelims.
Senior Daniel McCord was victorious in the 200. He clocked 21.72 to out kick Penn's Calvary Rogers by three-hundreths of a second for the win.
Junior Ray Mennin was fifth in the 400 and earned the team four points as he put up a time of 48.85 to take second in his heat.
The 4x400 relay of McCord, Mennin, sophomore Josh Freeman and freshman Christian Fryer-Davis claimed first place. The 3:15.05 is the fastest time run by a Princeton 4x400 relay this season.
The Tigers earned 6.5 more points in the high jump. Sophomore Colin Reilly was fourth at 1.97, while freshman Andrew Diehl tied for seventh at 1.93
An unattached Adam Bragg '16 had a PR in the pole vault, clearing 5.55 to win the event. Princeton's sophomore August Kiles was the runner-up at 5.05, while junior Ben Gaylord was fourth with a clearance of 4.90.
Freshman Adam Kelly and junior Vic Youn grabbed 12 points in the weight throw. Kelly was the runner up with a toss of 19.31, one of just two throwers to reach the 19 meter mark. Youn was fifth with a throw of 17.95.
Sophomore Zach Albright was the top Tiger finisher in the mile, as he ran a PR of 4:12.38 to just miss scoring.
Meanwhile in the Bronx, sophomores Noah Kauppila, Josh Ingalls and senior Luke Brahm competed at The Armory Invitational.
Kauppla was ninth in the mile run invitational with a time of 4:06.11, besting his previous mark of 4:07.93 from HYP. He later went on to run 3:48.97 in the 1500 split.
Ingalls took fourth in the 800 invitational at 1:50.36, while senior Luke Brahm was sixth with a PR of 1:50.71. Former Princeton assistant coach Robby Andrews, running for adidas, won the race at 1:48.43.
