Bragg Wins Pole Vault at USF Bulls Invite

TAMPA, Fla. (3/18/16) -The Princeton men's track & field team competed in two events on the final day of the Bulls Invitational on the University of South Florida campus today.
The Tigers competed in just one field event and did it quite successfully. Senior Adam Bragg and sophomore August Kiles went 1-2 in the pole vault invitational. Bragg who cleared a PR of 5.42 as an unattached athlete during the indoor season cleared 5.40 (17-8.50) in his first time out this outdoor season. Kiles cleared a height of 5.20 (17-0.75) on his second attempt.
Three hurdles took on the 400-meter hurdles. Senior Jordan Myers had the best time for the Tigers at 53.78 to take fifth. His time is a new PR. Junior Greg Leeper was eighth at 55.34 and freshman Christian Fryer-Davis was ninth at 55.39.
The rest of the team will compete at the Black & Gold Challenge at University of Central Florida this weekend.
Results
ORLANDO, Fla. (3/18/16) - Freshman Adam Kelly earns his second runner-up finish of the weekend in the hammer throw. After taking second at the USF Bulls Invitational yesterday with a 62.78, Kelly improved with a throw of 63.97 (209-10) this afternoon on his final attempt. His last two attempts were both more than 63 meters.
Sophomore Gabe Arcarco was fourth at 55.90 (183-5) and junior Vic Young was fifth at 55.07 (180-8).
The meet continues tomorrow at noon with the discus, while the track events start at 2:45 with the steeplechase.
