Mongilia Named Men's Hoops Dir. of Operations, Ettin Becomes Asst. Coach

Chris Mongilia, who spent last season as the director of operations for the men's basketball team at Saint Peter's, will join the Princeton men's basketball staff in the same capacity, Mitch Henderson, Princeton's Franklin C. Cappon-Edward G. Green '40 head coach has announced.
Mongilia replaces Skyelar Ettin, who will become an assistant coach with the program. The hiring completes the staff for the 2016-17 season, with Ettin joining Kerry Kittles and Brett MacConnell as the team's assistant coaches.

During his time with Saint Peter's, his principal responsibilities included coordinating all of the team travel and contributing with video editing, and Mongilia also formed a relationship with the Go4TheGoal Foundation to help raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. On the court, Saint Peter's had two players receive second-team All-MAAC honors and had one All-MAAC Rookie Team honoree.
Before joining the Peacocks, Mongilia was as an assistant coach at Kean University for the 2014-15 season. That season, the Cougars earned an All-NJAC first-team selection in Tommy Soulias, who finished 16th in the nation in scoring, and saw J.J. Hladik reset the individual program record for 3-pointers in a single-season with 88. His recruiting efforts helped secure the 2015-16 NJAC Rookie of the Year in Diego Pujols.
Prior to his time with Kean, Mongilia spent four seasons with River Dell High School in Oradell, N.J. as an assistant coach and spent two seasons coaching AAU with the Raritan Roundballers while working camps at Princeton, Rutgers University, Hoop Group Elite and Academic Elite, and the Hoop Group Top 100.
Mongilia is a 2013 alumnus of William Paterson University and holds a bachelor's degree in health and physical education.
