PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers head on the road to take on the Lafayette Leopards at Kirby Sports Center on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Â
Before we look at the Lafayette meeting, let's take another peak at the Delaware contest.
Â
Turnovers – Delaware had 21 turnovers against Princeton, leading to 22 points for the Tigers. Princeton turned the ball over 16 times with Delaware getting 20 points off of turnovers. Sydney Jordan and Carlie Littlefield had four steals each while four other Tigers swiped a pass in the victory.
Â
Delaware's Defense – A huge turning point in the game came in second quarter after Delaware tied the contest at 19-all. The Tigers' offense would take over the rest of stanza, ripping off a 21-5 spurt. Princeton was 8-of-12 shooting (66.7 percent) during that span while holding Delaware to just two baskets. With the offensive fireworks, the Tigers took a 40-24 lead into the intermission.
Â
Defending The Three-Point Line – Delaware ranked 202nd in the country before the game and it did not improve. Princeton was lights out from beyond the arc, going 7-of-14 (50 percent). Carlie Littlefield and Abby Meyers went 2-for-3 each while Bella Alarie, Tia Weledji and Sydney Boyer knocked down treys in the win.

Â
Here's some notes for the game Wednesday vs. Lafayette.
Â
Who's Going To Score? – The Leopards rank near the bottom in Division I in scoring offense (337th), averaging just 53.6 points per game. Lafayette has not reached the 50-point mark three times this season. Last year, Princeton held Lafayette to 27 points, just the second time since 1981 that an opponent was held under 30 points.
Â
Getting Buckets The Hard Way – Lafayette sits No. 12 in the country in field-goal percentage defense (33.2) and 45th in scoring defense (57.3). The Leopards have held their last six opponents under 40 percent shooting including Princeton's rival, Penn. The Quakers, were just 19-of-67 (28.4 percent) from the floor in a 55-42 victory.
Â
Natalie Kucowski – The freshman has been a sensation for Lafayette this season. She is one of two players in the Patriot League to average a double-double (11.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per game). She has earned two conference Rookie of the Week accolades and is in the top 30 in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game (29th), rebounds (32nd) and rebounds per game (14th).
