Princeton's McCumber '07 to Officiate 2018 Olympics

Former Princeton women's hockey player Dina (McCumber) Allen '07 has been selected to referee the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Allen is currently one of the officials for College Hockey America and is one of three American female referees chosen for the Olympics.

"We are very proud of Dina for being selected as an Olympic referee" said CHA Supervisor of Officials Eugene Binda. "She is one of our finest referees in College Hockey America and her excellence will now be shown on an international scale. Dina is a great ambassador for the sport of women's ice hockey and it shows in her dedication to her craft."

The eight-team women's tournament will be officiated by 10 referees and nine linesmen.

The 2018 Olympics will be held Feb 9-25.

A four-year letterwinner for the Tigers, McCumber was a two-time second-team All-ECAC selection in 2005 and 2006 and was a three-time All-Ivy League selection. She earned three bids to the ECAC All-Academic team and was on the Ivy League Academic Team as well. She ranks sixth in points in a career by a defenseman with 70, scoring 11 goals and 59 assists during her time with the Tigers. McCumber was a member of the 2006 team that made the program's first NCAA tournament appearance.
