HAMDEN, Conn. – The Princeton Tigers (6-2) held the Quinnipiac Bobcats (5-4) to one basket over the final 7:13 of game action in an impressive 60-46 victory at the TD Bank Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Â
Leslie Robinson and Bella Alarie each had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Robinson was 7-of-14 (50 percent), adding two assists and a steal. Alarie stole three passes, blocked two shots and was 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) shooting. The sophomore surpassed 500 career points in the victory.

Â
First, it was Carlie Littlefield's trey to put the Tigers back in front, 46-44. A few minutes later, Robinson dropped in a bucket before Kenya Holland's three-pointer stretched the lead to seven (51-44) with 2:29 remaining. The Tigers sank nine free throws in the last 1:22 to put the game on ice.
Â
Over the final 7:13, Quinnipiac was 1-of-8 (12.5 percent) and turned the ball over four times. It was just the Bobcats' fourth loss at home since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, after winning 43 of its their previous 46 at TD Bank Sports Center.
Â
Princeton started 0-for-6 from the floor to begin the game until a trey from Gabrielle Rush at the 4:39 mark. A basket from Alarie tied the contest at 9-all with 1:32 to go as Princeton rattled off seven straight points to take a 12-9 lead after the first quarter.
Â
Five straight points from McClure reset the game at 16-all with 5:51 remaining in the first half. A three-pointer from Abby Meyers and layup from Robinson helped put the road squad in front, 23-18, at the intermission.
Â
Quinnipiac opened the second half with seven of the first nine points to tie the meeting for a third time, but Robinson answered back just a minute later. Back-to-back buckets from Princeton extended its advantage back to five (32-26) as the clock ticked under six minutes. The Tigers kept the Bobcats at bay, taking a 41-35 lead into the final quarter. Robinson did not miss a bucket in the third stanza, going 4-of-4, scoring nine points.
Â
Much like the beginning of the half, the home team started the fourth frame with a flurry, going 4-of-5 from the floor, rolling off 9-of-11 points, taking a 44-43 advantage. Littlefield's three-pointer on the next possession began the Princeton's rally in the win. Â
