Princeton Invitational Slated for Sunday

It's the final indoor meet before the 2017 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship, and it's happening at Jadwin Gym. The Princeton Invitational will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19 beginning at 11 a.m., with the field events. The track events start at 12:30 p.m.
The Tiger men dominated the meet last season winning nine of the 13 events they entered. Earning victories were: Charlie Volker in the 60, Christian Fryer-Davis in the 500, Stephen Rossettie in the 800, Brett Kelly in the 3k, Greg Caldwell in the hurdles, Andrew Diehl in the high jump, Jake Scinto in the long jump, Lane Russell in the triple and Adam Kelly in the weight). Kelly returns this season to try to retain his title in the weight throw ,while Volker will be up in the 60.
Last year at the Princeton Invitational, the women's squad won four events: Jackie Berardo the 500, Cecilia Barowski, the 800, Ellie Randolph the hurdles and Allison Harrison the pole vault. Barowski ran a 2:04.66 in the 800, while Berardo led the Tigers to a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 500 with a first-place time of 1:15.66. She'll compete in the both the 400 and 500 this weekend. Randolph won the hurdles at 8.98 and will compete in both the hurdles and long jump this weekend. Harris, who cleared 4.15 for the win in the pole vault last year, will take this weekend to rest. The Tigers also had three second-place finishes in the 60, mile, long jump and weight throw one year ago.
