Leeper and Lundy Both Third at Villanova Wildcats Invite

Results
Freshman Conor Lundy ran the third fastest time in the 3,000 as the Princeton men's track & field team competed in the Villanova Wildcats Invitational in Staten Island this evening. Lundy was third out of 28 distance runners, as he crossed the line at 8:15.44 in his first time competing in the event as a collegian.
Another third-place finish came from senior captain Greg Leeper in the long jump. He was just one of three in the event to clear the 7-meter mark as he found 7.06.
Sophomore Charlie Volker qualified for the eight-man final in the 60 after recording a 6.87 in the prelims. He did slightly better in the final with a 6.86 to take fourth.

Juniors Noah Kauppila and Kenan Farmer went 5-6 in the mile. Kauppila posted a 4:12.93 while Farmer ran 4:13.87. Freshman Gavin Gaynor also finished in the top 10 with a 4:19.56.

In the 400, senior Jabari Johnson took fifth at 49.91. Sophomores Cole Bransford and Christian Fryer-Davis followed in seventh and eighth at 50.21 and 50.41, respectively.

Junior Eric Schulz put up a 1:51.80 to take fifth in the 800. Sophomore Franklin Aririguzoh was right behind at 1:52.72.

Freshman Michael Zupko had the top time for the Tigers in the 200, with a 22.33 for eighth place.

Next weekend Princeton will split off and compete in three different meets: Fasttrack at Ocean Breeze, Valentine Invitational at BU and the Millrose Games at The Armory.
