Villanova Records 67-46 Decision Over Princeton

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova Wildcats picked up a 67-46 victory over the Princeton Tigers at the Finneran Pavilion on Wednesday evening.

Gabrielle Rush secured 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the Tigers. Over her last three contests, the senior is averaging 14.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

Villanova ended the first stanza with eight of the final 11 points, taking a 19-15 lead after 10 minutes.
A three-pointer by Adrianna Hahn gave the home squad their first double-digit lead (27-17) with 5:31 left in the first half. The Wildcats held a 34-22 lead at the break after allowing three baskets to the Tigers in the second quarter.

Villanova pushed its advantage to as many as 20 in the third stanza before the Tigers wrapped up the frame with eight of the last 11 to cut their deficit to 14, 49-35. The Wildcats countered with the first six points of the fourth quarter to stymie the Tigers' run and put the game away.

Adrianna Hahn had a game-high 17 points for Villanova. Mary Gedaka posted a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Princeton dropped to 1-7 on the season while Villanova improved to 4-2 overall. The Tigers host Davidson on Sunday (Dec. 2). It's Faculty and Staff Day for the 2 p.m. tip-off. Princeton faculty and staff can get four free tickets with ID.
