Princeton Welcomes Davidson For Sunday Matinee

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers welcome the Davidson Wildcats to Jadwin Gym on Sunday for Faculty and Staff Day.

Before looking at the Davidson contest … let's take one last look at the Villanova matchup.

Kelly Jekot – Coming into the game as Villanova's leading scorer, Jekot was held to just 2-of-12 from the floor and 0-of-5 from beyond the arc, totaling four points on Wednesday. In the last two meetings against the Tigers, Jekot has scored a combined eight points.

Lots of Threes – Villanova made six more treys than Princeton as the Tigers were just 3-of-17 (17.6 percent). The Tigers came into the meeting as one of the top three-point teams in the country. The home squad didn't shoot well from long range (29 percent), but finished with nine in the game.

Stopping Threes  – The Wildcats are among the top teams in the NCAA at defending the three-point line (41st, 25.0 percent). Princeton makes 7.5 treys per game (75th) highlighted by Gabrielle Rush's 23 makes this season (10th).

Steady As Can Be – Rush and Carlie Littlefield have been two valuable cogs for Princeton this season. Both ranked in the top 30 in the NCAA in total minutes (Littlefield 20th and Rush 26th). Rush has attempted the second most three-pointers in all of Division I (73) and is 10th in makes (23). She is also 83rd in total points (116) while Littlefield is right outside the top 100 with 111 (109th). Littlefield is 34th in free throws attempts (41) and 44th in free throws made (29). The two have combined for 28.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game for the Tigers so far.
