EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is the No. 6 seed in the ECAC tournament with a 13-12-4 overall record and a 10-10-2 mark in the league. The Tigers are led offensively by sophomore Carly Bullock, the reigning ECAC Rookie of the Year. She has 29 points on 26 goals and six assists, ranking fifth nationally in goals per game. Junior Karlie Lund adds 21 points on six goals and 15 assists. Both senior Kiersten Falck and junior Stephanie Sucharda have a team-high 16 assists and have 19 and 18 points respectively. Sophomore defender Claire Thompson has scored nine goals and has seven assists fo 16 points. Both Princeton and Cornell are ranked fourth nationally in scoring defense, holding teams to 1.86 gpg. Sophomore goaltender Stephanie Neatby is 10-9-4 in goal with a .935 save percentage and a 1.73 GAA and five shutouts. Princeton's penalty kill highlights its special teams, ranked fifth nationally at 89.5 percent (102/114).
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell is ranked No. 5 in the latest USCHO poll and is the No. 3 seed in the ECAC tournament with a 19-7-3 overall record and a 15-5-2 conference record. The Big Red are red hot lately, winning their last six games and losing just once in the last 14 games. Kristin O'Neill paces the offense with 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points. Freshman Madlyne Mills has scored 16 times and has 12 assists for 28 points. Defenders Jaime Bourbonnais and Sarah Knee follow in scoring with 21 and 19 points respectively. Marlene Boissonnault is 19-5-3 missing two games for the Nations Cup along with O'Neill and Bourbonnais. Boissonnault has a 1.62 GAA with six shutouts and a .928 save percentage. Cornell's penalty kill unit ranks first in the nation at 93.5 percent (87/93) an scoring seven short-handed goals.
PRINCETON/CORNELL SERIES
Princeton has a 44-36-4 edge in the series with Cornell. The teams split the series this year with the Big Red winning 3-1 at Lynah Rink in November before Princeton earned a 5-2 win at Hobey Baker Rink on Jan. 5. This is just the second time these teams will meet in the postseason, first meeting up for the quarterfinals in 2013-14. Cornell won both games 3-2 and 5-3.
