Women's Squash Bounces Back With Convincing 9-0 Win At Dartmouth
February 04, 2018 | Women's Squash
Senior co-captain Olivia Fiechter followed up her brilliant win over Harvard's Sabrina Sobhy with another victory at the #1 position, while Kate Feeley came back from an earlier injury to grab her first Ivy League win of the season at the #8 spot during Princeton's 9-0 win at Dartmouth.
Princeton was in full control throughout the match, winning 27 of the 30 individual games to claim their 11th team win of the season. The tightest match of the day came at the #2 spot, where freshman Raneem El Torky split two games that went extra points, including a 12-10 win in the opener. She was able to grab control in the third and win high-quality 11-6 and 11-8 games to take the match.
El Torky was one of four Princeton freshmen to win Sunday. Grace Doyle overcame a loss in the third game for a 3-1 win at #3, while Emme Leonard pulled out a 3-0 win at the #5 spot. Mia Rosini moved into the lineup at the #9 spot and used a pair of 11-9 wins to score a 3-1 victory.
Princeton will be at Columbia Friday at 6 pm, and then will return to Jadwin Sunday at noon to honor its senior class before a noon showdown with Cornell on the Ivy League Network.
