Princeton Completes NCAA East Regionals

The Princeton women's track & field team concluded the NCAA East Regional this afternoon with senior Kennedy O'Dell in the hammer throw. O'Dell who qualified for both the shot put, which was contested on Thursday, and the hammer.
O'Dell threw 55.85 (183-3) on her third attempt to finish 36th overall. She fouled on her first chance before hitting a 54.97 (180-4) on her first countable throw. Kennedy ranks second all-time at Princeton in the hammer throw with a PR of 60.01 (196-10), the fifth best throw in Ivy League history.
Six Tigers qualified for the NCAA East Regional with freshman Obiageri Amaechi advancing to the NCAA Championships in the discus. She had the third best throw this weekend and will compete for the national title in two weeks in Eugene, Ore.
