Six different players scored a goal for Princeton with Sammy Popper and Claire Donovan adding two tallies each. Zoe Shephard snagged a goal and two assists in the win for Princeton.

Donovan got the scoring started in the seventh minute as she knocked in Clara Roth's initial shot. Ali McCarthy followed as she touched in a long pass from Popper with under two minutes left in the first quarter. Columbia got one back with 32 seconds remaining as Kelsey Farkas scored off a corner.

Princeton added on in the second stanza with three goals. Roth dribbled along the far baseline and blasted it in. The junior found Shephard in front of the cage less than 90 seconds later and put the Tigers ahead, 4-1. Popper ripped in a shot off a corner with 1:22 on the clock to give the home squad a 5-1 advantage at the break. The Tigers outshot the Lions, 12-3, in the first half.

There was no scoring in the third stanza despite Princeton producing nine attempts and six corners. Head coach Carla Tagliente's group's best scoring threat came when Julianna Tornetta's ball was just wide of the open cage.

Donovan collected her second of the afternoon when she hit in a ball from Shephard in the fourth stanza. The Tigers tacked on to their lead with goals 1:04 apart from Taylor Nolan and Popper to wrap up the scoring.

It was Princeton's fifth straight victory over Columbia and fifth consecutive overall. Tagliente's unit heads on the road next Saturday (Oct. 19) to take on Brown (12 p.m.). Â
