No. 8 Princeton's Fast Start Pushes It Over Brown, 6-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Clara Roth registered a hat trick while Ali McCarthy snagged two tallies as the No. 8 Princeton Tigers picked up their sixth straight victory with a 6-0 decision over the Brown Bears.

Roth picked up her first of the matchup as she collected a loose ball in the cage and whipped it in. The Tigers produced four goals in the first 8:16 of game action.

Brown's first shot of the game did not come until the 4:32 mark of the second quarter, a ball that Grace Baylis stopped. Princeton held a 12-2 shot lead in the first half in addition to its four-goal advantage.

Roth dropped in her 10th tally of the year as she knocked in a rebound following a corner.
The junior finished off the hat trick with 43 seconds left in the third stanza. It's her first career three-goal performance.

Sammy Popper added two helpers while Roth and Zoe Shephard also had assists. Baylis and Brightbill combined for three saves in the win. Princeton (9-4, 4-0 in the Ivy League) finishes the weekend at Boston University tomorrow (1 p.m.).
